UC Davis opens five-game homestand with midweek clash against Sacramento State

2006: Played 41 games, starting 40... Batted .256 (40-for-156) with 8 doubles and 40 runs... Led team with 10 stolen bases (on 15 attempts) and 8 sacrifice hits... Had 10 multi-hit games, including 3-for-5 vs. Cal (2/14) and 3-for-3 with 2 steals at Cal State Fullerton (4/15)... Batted 5-for-12 in three-game set at Oral Roberts (3/3/-3/5)... Doubled and homered in finale at ORU.
2005: Only Aggie to start all 56 games, fielding nearly every chance at shortstop... Batted .311 (69-for-222) with 12 doubles and team-best 37 runs... Also led team in stolen bases (13-for-17) and sacrifice bunts (13)... Had 21 multi-hit games, including stretch of seven straight from 2/23 to 3/3... Hit 15-for-33 (.455) in that run, then went 3-for-5 with 2 runs vs. Sacramento State two games later (3/5)... Had season bests of 4 hits and 3 runs in season opener with Sonoma State (2/8).
2004: Appeared in 39 games, starting 32... Batted .348 (40-for-115) with 22 runs and 9 doubles... Led Aggies with 10 sacrifice hits... Had 12 multi-hit games... Hit 3-for-3 with a double on two occasions: Sacramento State (2/10) and Vanguard (3/17)... Also had season-high 2 RBI in Vanguard game... Batted 8-for-19 (.421) with 3 doubles in first five collegiate games... Rapped pair of two-baggers at Cal Poly Pomona (4/25).
ROCKLIN HS '03: Named to all-city and All-Sierra Foothill League first team as a senior... Also named to Optimist All-Star Game... Batted .474 with 14 stolen bases that year... Won All-SFL honorable mention as a junior, helping team to 15-6 record and league title.
PERSONAL: Born in Carmichael, Calif.... Communication major... Parents are Mark & Danell Oliver... Hopes to become a sports agent... Given the opportunity to assemble three historical figures to a dinner, he would gather Babe Ruth, Gen. George S. Patton and Neil Armstrong.
