Baseball Plays Host to Cal State Northridge

UC Davis baseball hosts Cal State Northridge this weekend; student tank top giveaway on Sunday.

2012: Came into 16 games with 11 relief appearances and five starts as a true freshman...First outing was against Utah on Feb. 19 where he went one inning, striking out two... Made first collegiate start at then-No. 7 Arizona on March 7 and went five innings, sacrificing three runs and striking out two... Pitched a season-high 5.2 innings against Long Beach State and gave up three earned runs while striking out two... Struck out 24 batters in 39 innings and finished with a 5.31 ERA.

SANTA TERESA HS '11: All-Blossom Valley Athletic League performer in both baseball and basketball... Earned BVAL Freshman of the Year and Sophomore of the Year honors, compiling ERAs of 1.35 and 1.42 in those respective seasons... Posted 2.43 ERA in 2010... Two-time All-BVAL first-team honoree in basketball, averaging double-figure points for three straight years... Hoop team won Central Coast Section title in 2010-11... Three-year Scholar-Athlete in both sports... Chosen as school's Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a senior.
