UC Davis looks to bounce back against long-time rival on Tuesday night
2016: ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM... Started 52 of the team's 53 games, batting .318 (second on the team) with 35 runs scored, eight doubles, a home run, and 26 RBI... Led the team with 15 multi-hit games and tied for the team lead with five multi-RBI games... Finished his career on a 12-game hitting streak, batting .429 (21-for-49) with four runs scored and six RBI... Also reached base safely in 16 consecutive games at one point during the year... Led the team with 27 walks -- a total that ranks third on the school's Division I Era single-season list -- and paced the Aggies with 17 stolen bases -- also third on the school Division I single-season list and tied for fourth in the Big West... Ranks among the top 10 in nine different career lists during the program's Division I history... Finished 5-for-5 in game two of a series at CSUN (May 14) -- becoming only the sixth Aggie to collect at least five hits in a game at the Division I level... Also finished with a quartet of three-hit games against Utah Valley (Feb. 28), UC Riverside (April 3), Pacific (April 29), and UC Santa Barbara (May 8)... Scored a season-high three runs twice against Santa Clara (Feb. 25) and Pacific (April 29)... Slugged his first home run of the season on May 3 against Sacramento State.
2015: Appeared in 55 of the teams 57 games, making 53 starts as a designated hitter and outfielder... Hit .255 with 32 runs scored, 13 doubles, a home run, and 20 RBI... Reached base safely in a team-high 32 consecutive games... Also walked 22 times to tie for second on the team... His 13 doubles ranked third on the squad and tied for eighth in the Big West Conference... Finished with 15 multi-hit games on the year, including tying a career high with a 4-for-5 day with a double and four runs scored at Long Beach State on May 17... Added three-hit games against nationally ranked UC Irvine (April 18), UC Riverside (March 29), and Fresno State (March 15)... Slugged his second career home run against Cal State Fullerton on April 11... Tied a career high with three RBI against Gonzaga on Feb. 22 and ranked tied for second on the team with five multi-RBI games.
2014: Appeared in 30 games, making 24 starts... Broke into the starting lineup on April 13 against Long Beach State and made an immediate impact, hitting .390 as a starter... Hit .372 overall in 86 at bats to go along with three doubles, his first career home run (Long Beach State on April 13), and 10 RBI, while scoring 19 times... Finished with 10 multi-hit games, including a 4-for-6 performance against Hawai'i on May 18, scoring twice... Added multiple hits in four of his first five starts, including three hits at UC Riverside on April 17... Drove in a career-high three runs against Long Beach State on April 13 and scored three times against Sacramento State on April 15... Collected hits in 11 consecutive contests from April 13 to May 3, batting .514 (18-for-35) with 12 runs scored, seven RBI, and 11 walks... Added a walk to that streak to reach base safely in 12 consecutive contests -- tied for the fourth longest on the team... Tied for second on the team with six stolen bases in seven attempts.
2013: Batted .212 over 37 games with 14 starts in his first season with the Aggies...Tallied six runs, two doubles and five RBIs while posting a .328 on-base percentage...A perfect 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts...Made his first career start against Washington on Feb. 16...First career hit, run and RBI came against San Jose State on Feb. 20...Went 3-for-4 with a run scored in a 2-0 win at Pacific on May 10...Stole two bases and scored two runs in a 10-7 win at Nevada on April 16.
J SERRA CATHOLIC HS '12: Earned Rawlings Preseason All-American honors as a senior after picking up an All-Trinity League honorable mention selection as a utility player in 2011... Posted .310 batting average with nine RBIs while also recording a 1.07 earned run average in 13 innings pitched... Named to All-Elite Baseball Series first team as a junior... Concluded his prep campaign with a .345 batting average and hit .415 during Trinity League play, the second-highest average in the conference... Picked up first team all-league honors.
