DAVIS, Calif. - Kevin Barker went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a double while Evan Wolf scored two runs, but the UC Davis baseball team dropped a 4-3 decision to Creighton in the final game of the series on Sunday at Dobbins Stadium.

UC Davis moves to 6-5 while Creighton improves to 5-3 and takes the series.

UC Davis' Patrick Hennessey was given the loss to move to 1-1 on the year.

Barker brought Wolf home in the bottom of the second inning to give UC Davis a 1-0 lead. Wolf led off the inning with a single, then moved to second when Brett Morgan was hit by a pitch. John Williams' sacrifice bunt moved both runners over, then Barker grounded out to the Creighton shortstop which allowed Wolf to score.

Creighton tied it with a run in the third after Nick Judkins' base hit up the middle brought Chance Ross, who hit a two-run home run to left field in the fifth inning to give Creighton a 3-1 lead.

Barker tied the game up for UC Davis as his double down the left field line allowed Morgan and Wolf to score. Wolf was hit by a pitch to reach base, while Morgan hit a single up the middle.

The Bluejays took the lead back for good in the seventh inning when Brennan Murphy walked, then came around to score on Jake Peter's single into right field.

UC Davis had two runners on with just one out in the bottom of the seventh, but Paul Politi struck out and Wolf hit a fly ball into right field to end the inning.

Aggie closer Harry Stanwyck got UC Davis out of a bases-loaded jam in the ninth inning. Reliever Ben Burke gave up a base hit to Michael Blatchford to lead off the inning, who stole second base. Burke walked Ross and Stanwyck was called in with two runners on and one out.

Stanwyck struck out Peter, but walked Judkins to load the bases before Stanwyck forced McKewon to ground out to short.

Spomer gave up a hit to David Popkins in the bottom half of the ninth, but the Aggies would strand Popkins at first as Creighton took the 4-3 win.

UC Davis travels to take on Arizona for a two-game series beginning Tuesday.
