STOCKTON, Calif. - The Aggies' offense exploded for 10 runs on 13 hits and the UC Davis baseball team won the rubber match of a three-game Big West Conference series versus Pacific after a 10-7 victory over the Tigers on Sunday at Klein Family Field.

The Aggies (18-31, 5-16 Big West) scored 10 runs on 13 hits with one error while the Tigers (13-33, 5-16) posted seven runs on 13 hits with one error.

Each of UC Davis' top six hitters - Tino Lipson, Spencer Henderson, Paul Politi, Steven Patterson, John Williams and Cameron Olson - had at least one hit, led by Williams' 3-for-5 day at the dish.

"Our offense was very good today," said head coach Matt Vaughn. "Lipson, Williams, Henderson, Politi and Olson had some huge at-bats and we were able to add on some runs late. There were some signs of improvement today and hopefully we can keep it going as we close out the season."

UC Davis starting pitcher Evan Wolf (3-3) picked up the win after allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits over five innings with three walks and no strikeouts. Craig Lanza tallied his second save of the season after pitching the final four innings.

Pacific reliever Kyle Crawford (1-4) suffered the loss after giving up four runs on three hits in 1.2 innings with no walks and one strikeout.

UC Davis' scoring barrage started in first inning when the Aggies scored three runs on four hits. After an out, Henderson singled and stole second. Politi singled to left to drive in Henderson. After another out, Williams singled through the right side to push Politi to third. Williams stole second before Olson tripled to right center, driving in both runners.

The Aggies had another big inning in the third. Politi opened with a single, and after a line out, moved to third on a single by Williams. Williams advanced to second on a wild pitch. The bases loaded when Olson was hit by a pitch. Spencer Brann drew a full count before he was hit by another pitch to bring home a run. A balk scored another run and Tanner Bily followed with a pinch hit sacrifice fly to score Olson. Adam Young drove in the fourth run of the inning with a double to left center.

UC Davis added another run in the fourth on Politi's RBI ground out following Henderson's triple to right center. Another run came across in the seventh on Lipson's single through the right side. The final run of the game came in the ninth after an error on a Lipson grounder to second.

The Aggies went 2-1 at Pacific to open up its season-long seve-game roadtrip. UC Davis will visit Saint Mary's on Tuesday before heading to Hawai'i for a league series next weekend.
