HEAD COACH Rex Peters: ON LAST WEEKEND: "To go on the road in a tough environement, splitting a four-game series against a solid Pac-10 club is a solid weekend. We swung the bats real well on Friday and Eddie (Gamboa) gave us another good start. We didn't pitch as well as we wanted to on Saturday, but we were still in those games. To come back after getting swept in a doubleheader and respond from seven runs down was a great way to end the weekend. To be 20-10 at this point, you have to be really happy where you're at. We've put ourselves in a great position."
ON STANFORD: "This is a tough stretch for us right now with the nine-game road swing. We're 3-2 right now in the first half of that stretch. Stanford is a quality team with a lot of tradition and we recongnize that and respect what they've accomplished. It seems like we really get up for these games and always play them tough."
ON UC SANTA BARBARA: "I know they play very well at home and have been playing with a lot of confidence. We've certainly got our work cut out for us and I think this is our first real test in conference to go up against a team that's been playing as well as they've been playing this season."

UC DAVIS LEADS THE BIG WEST: UC Davis enters this weekend leading the Big West Conference standings with a perfect 3-0 mark against league opponents and a 20-10 overall record... In addition, OF Ryan Royster leads the league with seven home runs, 33 runs scored and 75 total bases while C Jake Jefferies leads in hits (50), at bats (126) and total plate apperances (141)... IF Evan Hudson has the most put outs (269)... As a team, the Aggies lead in eight major offensive catergories and also boast the most assisted putouts.
