DAVIS, Calif. - Junior third baseman Ty Kelly was the lone UC Davis player named to the All-Big West Conference Teams, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon. Kelly nabbed honorable mention accolades after garnering second-team acclaim last season.

Kelly, who was the only UC Davis player to start in all 55 games, led the Aggies with 20 doubles, 66 hits, 40 RBIs, 100 total bases, four home runs and a .465 slugging percentage. His 20 doubles rank him in a tie for third on the single season list. In addition, Kelly was among team leaders in batting average (.307) and on-base percentage (.377). He completed the stellar season with an impressive final week in which he totaled nine RBIs, three doubles and led the team to a conference series win over Cal State Northridge.

UC Irvine enjoyed the most success on the all-conference teams and had Player of the Year Ben Oroloff, Pitcher of the Year Daniel Bibona and Coach of the Year MIke Gillespie. Cal State Fullerton's Tyler Pill and Noe Ramirez shared Freshman Pitcher of the Year honors while Cal Poly's Matt Jensen was Freshman Player of the Year.

UC Davis finished its second season as an official NCAA Division I member with an overall record of 13-42 and a 5-19 mark against conference competition. Big West members UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton and Cal Poly all earned berths into the NCAA tournament.
