Patterson, a junior second baseman from Stockton, Calif., hit .324 with 31 runs, 12 doubles, two home runs and 33 RBIs this season. He hit .327 in league games and the ended the season on a 27-game reached-base streak.
Lipson saw time at shorstop, second base, left field and designated hitter but was named second team all-league as an outfielder. Lipson, a sophomore from El Cerrito, Calif., hit .339, which ranks No. 9 in the Big West, with 31 runs, two doubles, three triples and 18 RBIs. Lipson ended the season strong on a 12-game hitting streak.
Lynch, a sophomore first baseman and designated hitter from Burlingame, Calif., hit a team-high .359, which ranks No. 4 in the Big West, in his follow-up to a Freshman All-American campaign last year. In addition to his team-best average, Lynch posted 24 runs, six doubles, one triple, two home runs and 28 RBIs. His .443 on-base percentage is the second best in the conference. Getting hit by 21 pitches helped bump up that number, which led the conference this season and tied the UC Davis single-season record.
In the individual awards, Cal State Fullerton first baseman Carlos Lopez and UC Irvine third baseman Taylor Sparks shared the Field Player of the Year Award and Cal State Fullerton RHP Justin Garza was named Pitcher of the Year. Cal State Fullerton shortstop Richy Pedroza was named Defensive Player of the Year while UC Santa Barbara DH Robby Nesovic was picked Freshman Field Player of the Year and Cal State Fullerton RHP Thomas Eshelman was named Freshman Pitcher of the Year. Cal State Fullerton head coach Rick Vanderhook was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Titans to a Big West title.
