 Ended his first season at UC Davis with the following Big West ranking: Three-Point Field Goal Percentage - No. 10 (.385)... One of four Aggies who played in all 33 games... Scored a game-high 11 points — three of his four baskets were hit from three — and recorded three rebounds in the Aggies NIT First Round game at Utah (3/14)... Three of his five baskets were hit from three, and scored all 13 of his game-high points in the second half vs. Cal State Fullerton (3/9) in the semifinal round of the Big West Tournament... He has now scored 13 points in seven games, second only to his career high of 20... That night was the first time led the team in scoring this season... Two of his four field goals were scored from three vs. UC Riverside (3/8); finished with 13 points by hitting all three shots at the line... 

It was his three in double overtime that sealed the victory at UC Irvine, which led to the Aggies winning their third league title in the last four years... Six of his seven buckets were from three, both career highs, as was his 20 points, the first time he reached that scoring mark as an Aggie... Three of his four field goals vs. Hawai’i were hit from three; finished with 11 points and seven rebounds... Finished with a career-high 13 points for the third straight game by hitting a career-high four threes, and a free throw, vs. UC Riverside (2/24)... Matched four career highs by recording 13 points (for the second game in a row and fourth time this season), five field goals, three three-pointers and two blocks at UC Santa Barbara (2/17)... Scored a career-high 13 points, on five field goals (another career high), blocked a shot and grabbed four rebounds at Cal Poly (2/15)... Two of his seven rebounds were collected on offense to help the Aggies out-rebound CSUN (2/1) 9-4 in that category... Notched his third double-figure scoring game in the Aggies’ last four played by sinking 4 of 6 from the floor and a career-high 3 of 4 from three vs. Cal Poly (1/27); also recorded a game-high six rebounds... Scored 13 points on an efficient 5-for-6 shooting, for the second straight game, and recorded five rebounds at Hawai’i (1/20)... Notched his fifth double-figure scoring total by finishing with a career-high 13 points, on five field goals and three threes, both career highs, vs. Long Beach State (1/17); also blocked a career-high two shots that night... Scored nine points and finished with five rebounds in his second start of the season, at Cal State Fullerton (1/13); also blocked a career-high two shots... Collected five rebounds at UC Riverside (1/11)... Finished with 11 points and nine rebounds, one shy of a career high in each category, and earned three assists vs. William Jessup (12/30)... Named to the starting lineup for the first time as an Aggie, and hit two of his four field goals from three vs. Lamar (12/22)... Earned his first double-double as an Aggie when he finished with 11 points and a game-high 10 rebounds at Nevada (12/19)... That game against the Wolf Pack also marked the first double-digit rebound total as an Aggie... Of his 10 rebounds collected at Nevada, a game-high six were on the offensive glass; by comparison, the Wolf Pack collected eight offensive boards as a team... Grabbed a career-high seven rebounds and scored all six of his points at the line, another career high, vs. William Jessup (12/9)... Scored five points and grabbed a career-high eight rebounds at Washington State (12/2)... Connected on all four of his free throw attempts at Washington (11/26)... Set season-high numbers by finishing with 12 points, five field goals, two 3FGs, and four rebounds in the Aggies’ Golden 1 Center game vs. Sacramento State (11/21)... Recorded five points, which included one field goal from three, at Utah Valley (11/18)... Scored seven points, the first of his UC Davis career, hit a three and collected three rebounds at Pacific (11/15)... Made his UC Davis debut at Northern Colorado (11/13).

2016-17: Redshirted the season due to NCAA transfer rules.

PEPPERDINE (2014-16): With John on roster, Pepperdine is the only West Coast Conference school, outside of BYU, Gonzaga and Saint Mary's, to post winning overall and league records in the last two seasons... Pepperdine earned fourth-place finishes thanks to John; the 2003-04 season marked the last time the Waves finished among the WCC's top programs.

MARIA CARRILLO HS '14: Led the Pumas to one of its most successful seasons in program history when the team ended the 2013-14 season with a 20-9 record and a deep run in the North Coast Section playoffs... Averaged 15 points and eight rebounds as a senior... Earned All-Empire first team and All-North Coast Section honors during the final two years of his high school career... Led his team in scoring, rebounding, blocks and steals as a junior.

PERSONAL: The oldest of Avelon John's two children... Mykhail is his younger sibling... Madison Square Garden is his favorite facility that he has competed in.
