2014-15: At the end of the regular season, Avery Johnson was ranked T-No 8 in the Big West Conference in three-point field goal percentage (.410) and No. 10 in steals per game (1.22)... Posted a double-figure scoring total for the fourth time in the last seven games when he finished with 13 points vs. UC Irvine (3/7) - his final appearance on Hamilton Court... Matched a season high by scoring 14 points, on a career-high five field goals, vs. Hawai'i (2/21)... Tied a season high by collecting seven rebounds, in front of a hometown crowd, at Long Beach State (2/19)... His game-high six assists are more than half the total earned by CSUN's entire team that night (11) (2/7)... His second three-pointer, scored with 2:55 remaining in OT, gave UC Davis the lead for good vs. Cal Poly (1/31); scored the Aggies' last three points at the line to secure the team's second OT win on ESPNU in the last three weeks...
2013-14: In league games only, Johnson finished with a .410 three-point percentage, the third-highest mark among all conference players... Set a new career high with 18 points (on 6 of 9 shooting), and tied another two with three free throws and three-point field goals versus Cal Poly (2/27)... Finished with seven rebounds, one shy of his career high, and tied another career best with three steals versus UC Irvine (2/8)... Scored all 11 points, including a career-high three free throws, during the Aggies' second-half comeback at Cal Poly (1/30)... Set a new career high by finishing with 12 points, on a career-high four field goals vs. UC Riverside (1/16)... Competing in his hometown for the first time as an Aggie, Johnson finished with seven points (one shy of his career high), three rebounds, two assists and one steal at Long Beach State (1/11)... Set a new career high with eight points and tied another two with three field goals and two three-point field goals vs. SIUE (11/22)... Led all players with eight rebounds vs. Holy Names (11/11)... Forced two turnovers and grabbed two rebounds in his inaugural game as an Aggie, at Portland (11/8).
2012-13: Will not compete due to NCAA transfer rules.
SAN FRANCISCO (2010-12): Played in 31 games in 2011-12, averaging 1.5 ppg... Had 18 assists against just nine turnovers... Played 9.5 min/game... Shot .714 from the FT line and finished season with 15 steals... Saw action in 32 of 34 games during freshman season, playing 10.8 min/game... Had 19 steals on the season.
OCEAN VIEW HS '10: Selected to All-CIF Southern Section Div III-AAA team during senior season after helping the Seahawks to a berth in regional semifinals... Also earned a spot on the All-Orange County first team...Was named the CIF-Southern Section Div. IV-AA Player of the Year as a junior after averaging 11.9 ppg... Averaged 17.3 ppg and 6.0 rpg during senior campaign... Twice scored a season-high 30 points as a senior, making 11 of 20 from the field against Orange Lutheran HS and 10 for 19 in a win over La Jolla HS... Shot 50 percent from the floor for the season.
PERSONAL: Born in Long Beach, California... Majoring in sociology... Parents are Sherman and Annette Johnson... Would like to see college basketball played in quarters instead of halves... Would compete for the Aggie track and field team if not for basketball... Career highlight was playing in the California State Championship game as a prep... Has career aspirations to either play professionally or to become a sports psychologist... Favorite facility he has played in is USC's Galen Center.
