Missed Big West game vs. Cal State Fullerton (2/25) due to injury... Finished second on the team with 64 assists (2.1 avg.)... Had 1.8 assist/turnover ratio, best on the team... Had impressive 4.6 ast/to ratio (32-7) over nine-game stretch in latter third of season, averaging 26.8 min... Didn't have more than 2 turnovers in any of those games including playing three games without one... Scored season-high 13 pts against Pacific (2/14) and followed with 10 during big comeback win at No. Arizona (2/18)... Had 11 in early season win over UC Santa Cruz (11/15)... SHASTA COLLEGE: Played two years (2008-09, 2010-11) for Shasta, earning All-Golden Valley Conference honors both seasons... Two-year team captain... Averaged 14.8 ppg, 5.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds as a sophomore while shooting .553 from the field... Averaged 10.1 ppg and 5.0 apg as a freshman. UNIV. OF SAN DIEGO: Redshirted during 2009-10 season. CENTRAL VALLEY HS: Four-year varsity letterwinner who was three-time All-Northern Athletic League while also earning honorable mention recognition as a freshman... Was starting point guard all four years... Was All-CIF Northern Section three times including earning MVP honors as a senior... All-State Div. IV honoree in 2008... Named Northern League MVP as a senior along with Corning Tournament MVP and Carson City Tournament MVP... Won the same tournament honors the year before in addition to Lehigh Tournament MVP accolades... Three-year captain... Averaged 16.9 ppg., 5.3 assists and 3.0 steals as a senior... Averaged 18.1 ppg. as a junior. .. Helped lead team to school-record 25 wins and section title in 2007-08. PERSONAL: Born in Red Bluff, Calif... Majoring in psychology... Parents are John and Molly Mancasola... Was homeschooled but played for Central Valley HS... Career highlight was helping prep team to first section title since 1984... Taught himself to play the guitar... Title of his autobiography would be "I've got a rock stuck in my arm." |
