FULLERTON, Calif. - A 14-3, UC Davis scoring run midway through the first half and another 10-4 outburst, capped by a three from Darius Graham before the buzzer sounded at halftime, helped UC Davis build a sizable 13-point lead that held throughout the second half in the Aggies' 79-68, Big West victory Saturday night from Titan Gym.
Men's basketball will return to Davis with a 14-3 overall record and its first-ever 4-0 Big West mark. By leaving Cal State Fullerton with the win, this year's team now has 14 overall, and six road Ws. Both totals match the program's Division I high originally set in 2012-13.

This is also the first time since the 1998-99 season that the Aggies won their first four straight league games. Feel free to ask any member of the Division II national championship team what happened the last time UC Davis posted a 5-0 conference record.

"Those things are a byproduct of a really great group of young men who are working their tail off. Their chemistry is extraordinary, the culture they created, in terms of holding each other accountable for the daily work they put in is phenomenal," said head coach Jim Les
"It is also nice to have some talented players."
The Titans, who were led by Alex Harris and his 20 points, slip to 8-10 and 0-3 respectively.
Behind his 4 of 7 shooting from three Corey Hawkins scored a team-high 26 points and collected rebound No. 10 in the waining moments to post his second double-double of the year following last week's 28/10 effort when the Aggies hosted Long Beach State on ESPNU.
Tied at 17 with 9:49 left in the first half, Josh Fox scored five straight to force Aggie alum, and current Cal State Fullerton head coach Dedrique Taylor, to call a time out. That five-point advantage swelled to 13 at the break thanks to Graham's three.
Fox finished with 20 points on 8 of 11 shooting.
Graham was not the only Aggie to light it up from three as Hawkins scored 4 of his 7 baskets from distance.
When needed, the Aggies sank key threes and had no problem pushing around the Titans' big men down low to create easy scoring opportunities. As a team, UC Davis finished 26-for-49 (.531 pct.) from the floor, 9-for-19 (.474) from behind the arc and canned 18 of 23 free throws (.783).
Conversely, the Aggies' defense frustrated a Fullerton roster that only made 19 of 55 shots overall (.345) and 5 of 17 from three (.294). However, the Titans were able to draw 11 more shots at the stripe compared to UC Davis and connected on 25 of those opportunities (.735)
The Aggies led by as many as 16 points at the 10:33 mark of the second half, Fullerton's two leads took place shortly after tip-off as the Titans were never pulled within one possession once Fox scored five straight in the first half.
"We had some key contributions tonight from a number of players. Different players step up on different nights, that is what makes this team special," added Les.
Darius Graham earned a team-high six of his team's 17 assists and chipped-in another five points outside that buzzer-beating three before halftime. Tyler Les earned all six of his points from three and Neal Monson, behind his deft mid-range touch and 4 of 6 shooting, scored eight points to go along with his three rebounds.
UC Davis will end its current three-game road trip on Thursday, Jan. 22, at Hawai'i, before experiencing its first bye of league play the following Saturday.
