Costa Rica Foreign Tour Central
DAVIS, Calif. - Throughout the last 13 days, UC Davis basketball has been working hard during each of its 10 practices that took place throughout its Costa Rica Foreign Tour training camp. With workout No. 10 now completed, the Aggies now have an opportunity to focus on its upcoming trip.
As freshman forward Peter Hewitt mentioned in the video above, the last two weeks provided everyone with an opportunity to learn the team's systems and schemes, strengthen the team's chemistry and, for newcomers like Hewitt, adjust to a faster pace of play before the Aggies' block of games against international competition.
UC Davis will depart for Costa Rica on Aug. 20, and face Brock University, its first opponent less than 24 hours after landing in Costa Rica.
Last season, the Badgers finished with a 27-11 record and a No. 8 ranking among all Canadian Interuniversity Sports teams. The CIS is Canada's version of the NCAA.
The final game of the tour will take place against a Costa Rica nationals squad.
UC Davis basketball, a program known for extensive community outreach, will also continue its efforts abroad when the team visits an orphanage located outside San Jose, the country's capital, as part of its international tour.
In addition to videos and photos posted by the team on its social media channels, basketball fans can also visit Costa Rica Foreign Tour Central to access stories, photo galleries and additional content from the Aggies' training camp and week-long adventure in Central America.
