This year's rivalry matchup against Sacramento State is the first of a men's basketball doubleheader slated for Monday, Nov. 21. UC Davis' game will tip at 5:30 p.m., followed by an 8 p.m. contest between Cal and San Diego State. Each ticket provides admission to both games.
Before the NBA's newest state-of-the-art arena hosts its first college games, Aggie basketball fans are encouraged to join local alumni at a pregame reception hosted by the Ruhstaller Brewery + Taproom. Located one block east of the Golden 1 Center, Ruhstaller will open its doors for this event at 3 p.m.
This year's rivalry game at the Golden 1 Center will feature three Aggies with local ties: head coach Jim Les, a former Sacramento King who led the NBA in three-point field goal percentage during his tenure with the organization, seniors Darius Graham and J.T. Adenrele. Graham, a Sacramento native, and Adenrele, who grew up in nearby Roseville, attended Sacramento High School and Oakmont High School, respectively, before arriving to UC Davis.
The Aggies and Hornets last faced one another on a neutral floor on December 15, 1989, in a game held at Arco Arena as part of the Campbell's Soup Capital City Classic.
