DAVIS, Calif. - Former UC Davis standout Vince Oliver was selected in yesterday's NBA Development League Draft. Oliver was the second selection in the eighth round by the Idaho Stampede. He finished his four-year Aggie career last season as the school's third all-time leading scorer.

Oliver scored 1,523 points in his career and became the first Aggie to be named First-Team All-Big West Conference. He received the honor last year after leading the team with 15.4 points per game. He finished fourth in the Big West in scoring. Oliver's career average was 12.9 ppg., and he averaged at least 11 points per game all four years.

Thursday's NBA D-League draft featured eight rounds. Each of the league's 16 teams selected eight players. Final rosters will set at 10 by Nov. 25, and the league will begin its ninth season on Nov. 27. The Stampede is located in Boise.
