DAVIS, Calif. - Sixteen days and five games after starting its season, UC Davis will compete in its first home game of the year when Northern Colorado visits the Pavilion Wednesday night.

This game will also mark the completion of this year’s home-and-home series, which began when the Aggies visited Greeley, Colo., for its season opener. That evening, they dominated play on both ends of the court throughout the second half, and turned a three-point halftime deficit into a 13-point victory.

With its desired result, UC Davis will collect its fourth victory in a home opener within the last five years, and extend its win streak against the Bears to seven.

The Aggies will look to extend another win streak, besides the one it currently holds vs. Northern Colorado, when this season’s action on Bob Hamilton Court begins Wednesday night. After posting an undefeated home record last season, for the second time in the last three years, UC Davis will seek its 12th-consecutive home victory when UNC visits Davis.

Entering their home opener, the Aggies’ home win streak is the 14th-longest in the nation, which matches Kentucky’s streak as well. If victorious, they will have an opportunity to extend this streak, and climb up the national leaderboard following Saturday’s game at Washington State since both of next week’s contests will take place on campus.

UC Davis returns home after last Sunday’s thrilling nailbiter at Washington, which ended a season-opening five-game road trip that included victories at Pacific and inside the Golden 1 Center in this season’s cross-Causeway rivalry game. In all three of those wins, Aggie opponents scored less than 60 points.

After losing to the Aggies, UNC won its following five games. After topping Pepperdine on the road, the Bears won all four tournament games played at the Sanford Pentagon Showcase.

Series Record:
UC Davis leads 6-1
Last UC Davis Win: 11/13/17 - A, 74-59
Last Northern Colorado Win: 12/6/66 - A 111-77
Series Streak: UC Davis +6
