DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis will end its holiday hiatus on Saturday when Holy Names visits the Pavilion for the Aggies’ final non-conference game.

With this home event, UC Davis will have an opportunity to extend its current 14-game home win streak — the seventh-longest in the nation — and make its final set of adjustments before league play commences next week.

A brief two-game homestand, which begins this weekend vs. the Hawks, will conclude next Thursday when the Aggies host UC Irvine in the inaugural Big West matchup of the season for each team.

Saturday’s game will also provide UC Davis head coach Jim Les with an opportunity to reach another  milestone by collecting career win No. 250. With a victory, Coach Les will also also inch closer towards collecting his 100th win at UC Davis; this game will also bring him one step closer to his 500th career game as a head coach.

The Aggies will return to Hamilton Court after splitting its last two games, which took place at the Orleans Arena as part of the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic. After its impressive second-half effort vs. Lamar last Friday en route to a nine-point victory, the Aggies suffered a tough overtime result the following day against a Radford team that drew 13 free throw attempts throughout the extra session.

With that game now behind it, UC Davis will look to bounce back and generate some momentum entering its Big West Schedule, which includes three road games in its first five matchups.

Holy Names, which is located in Oakland, will visit campus with victories in its last two games, which includes a 20-point home triumph that took place Thursday evening.
