Aggies Fall 14-7 To No. 22 UND In Defensive Battle
UC Davis committed three turnovers and was held scoreless in the second half
2011: Served as the primary backup quarterback for the third consecutive season... Appeared in three games and had one start despite missing several games due to injury... Played well in his one start vs. San Diego, completing seven passes on 15 attempts for a career high 122 yards and a touchdown, all of which came in the first half... Went 4 for 6 for 36 yards at Montana State... Played against North Dakota but did not complete a pass... Finished the season completing 11 of 25 passes for 158 yards.
2010: Appeared in 3 games as Randy Wright's lieutenant, mostly against Cal and Southern Utah... Completed 1 of 4 for 10 yards against Golden Bears, 2 of 4 for 13 yards vs. T-Birds... Also entered game against San Diego but did not attempt a pass.
2009: Saw action in 3 games as Greg Denham's backup, most notably at Portland State... Completed 6 of 7 passes for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns to help UC Davis rally from a 28-17 deficit... Earned GWC Offensive Player of the Week (plus team's equivalent) for his performance... Finished year with 7-for-9 passing for 82 yards and the 2 TD strikes.
2008: Redshirted... Selected as Scout Offense Player of the Week following Cal Poly game.
SAINT FRANCIS HS '08: Earned second-team All-Mission League and first-team all-area as a junior receiver/free safety... Posted 20 catches for 384 yards on offense, 34 tackles and three picks on defense... Switched to quarterback as a senior, amassing 790 yards and five touchdowns in a shortened season... Voted as team's Offensive MVP... Also lettered in baseball and golf... Had 7-1 record with six saves as a relief pitcher... Four-year Scholar-Athlete and Academic Hall of Fame honoree.
PERSONAL: Born in Arcadia, Calif.... Economics major... Parents are Kenny & Kathy Heyworth... Career highight was playing in section finals at Angel Stadium.
