Will Kofe named defensive line coach; Brian Bellotti and Mike Cody appointed defensive/offensive assistants
Cody, the starting tight end for UC Davis in the 2011 season, begins his coaching career as an offensive assistant with his alma mater in 2012. Cody battled through injuries in 2011 to appear in 10 games and start five. He hauled in five catches for 44 yards and was used primarily in blocking packages. Cody transferred from Sierra College after earning All-Bay Valley Conference honors in 2009, while helping the Wolverines to back-to-back conference titles.
A Colfax native, Cody attended Colfax High School and helped the football team to a 22-3 combined record in his final two seasons, including a Sac-Joaquin Section finals appearance in 2006. He earned All-Pioneer Valley League honors in both football and baseball while at Colfax.
