2009: ALL-GREAT WEST CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM... Started 10 of 11 games, shifting from left guard to replace Robert Ayotte at left tackle... Earned GWC All-Academic honors.

Earned Scholar-Athlete award from National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame... Won team's Unity, Hustle & Pride award... Grandfather was Robert Fischer, former athletics director at UCLA and Hall of Famer at that institution... Best players he's played against are All-Americans Dayne Crist (now of Notre Dame) and Wes Horton (USC).
