Recent Aggie standout and two-time team captain Ejiro Evero enters his second year as an assistant on the Aggie coaching staff.
A free safety from 1999 to 2003, Evero enjoyed a breakthrough season as a junior, earning All-America honorable mention and second-team All-West Region honors. He was also named to the inaugural All-Independent Football Alliance second team, leading UC Davis in tackles.
Evero followed that up with an outstanding senior year, garnering a nod to the Division I-AA Independent All-Star squad and earning his team's Jerry Norris Award as the most valuable and inspirational player of the year.
Originally from Alta Loma, Evero graduated in 2004 with a degree in economics. His younger brother, Nero, is now a sophomore in the Aggie defensive backfield.
