NORTH SALINAS HS '17: Selected Monterey Bay League Defensive Lineman of the Year as a sophomore and senior... Earned similar distinction for Central Coast Section in 2016... Played offensive tackle and nose guard for a team that went 9-3 overall and a perfect 6-0 vs. MBL Pacific Division opponents in 2015... Coached by Darren Spence... Forced 8 fumbles as a senior... Tallied 72 tackles with 8 sacks as a junior, 68 stops as a sophomore... Three-time MaxPreps Defensive Player of the Game during final two seasons... Two-time team MVP, plus Defensive MVP as a sophomore... Also starred for NSHS track & field team, placing 2nd in discus (154-7) at the 2016 Central Coast Championship meet... Won MBL Division final in shot put, advancing to CCS semifinals (47-8)... State qualifier and MBL runner-up as a wrestler (heavyweight division).
