UC Davis battled back from 17-0 deficit to get within a field goal before falling
2014: Played 10 games, starting two, during his true freshman season... Was second on the team with 325 receiving yards (on 22 catches)... Averged 14.8 yards per catch... Burst on to the scene with three catches for 51 yards against Ft. Lewis, followed with three for 36 yards at Colorado State, and then had three grabs for 77 yards, including a 70-yard TD against Eastern Washington... His TD grab from QB London Lacy came on the final play of the third quarter... Added the 36-yard TD catch the next week at Portland State – also from Lacy – that put UC Davis on the scoreboard early in the third quarter... Shared team's Mike Wise Award with OL Julian Bertero as top Aggie freshman.
ALAMEDA HS '14: Three-year varsity member who caught 56 passes for 998 yards and 12 touchdowns during his career... Had 29 receptions for 577 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior... Enjoyed a monster game against Hillsdale HS, grabbing eight passes for 217 yards and a trio of scores... Picked up at least one touchdown in all eight games he played... Averaged 19.9 yards per reception in 2013... Had 26 receptions for 414 yards during his sophomore campaign, collecting season-highs of seven catches and 108 yards against Encinal HS... Missed majority of junior season with injury... Team captain as a senior... All-West Alameda County Conference 12 first-team honors, his second all-league honor... Named MVP at Arizona State Contra Costa Football Camp... Also played basketball at Alameda HS... Four-year academic honor roll member... CIF-North Coast Section Scholar-Athlete for 2011-12.
PERSONAL: Born in Alameda, Calif... Majoring in organizational studies... Parents are Keith Doss and Tammie Chambless... Proudest accomplishment was earning an athletics scholarship... If he had a million dollars, he'd give some to his mom... Advice to youngsters is "You could be anything you want."... Hopes to visit Hawaii.
