2016: BIG SKY ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM...Saw action in every game of the season except against Wyoming… Finished with a total of three tackles… Picked up an unassisted tackle and an interception in game two versus Southern Oregon… Also recoded an unassisted tackle and two assisted tackles versus Portland State… Broke up two passes during the season, one against Southern Oregon and the other against Sacramento State.

 BIG SKY ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM... Saw action in eight games, including the final seven of the season... Did not record any stats.

2014: Redshirted.

DE ANZA COLLEGE (2012-13):
Played two seasons at De Anza, earning second-team all-conference honors as a safety... Had two interceptions, eight pass-breakups and forced five fumbles while collecting 53 tackles... Earned Dean's List honors both years.

SARATOGA HS '12: Earned pair of All-Santa Clara Valley Athletic League first-team honors... Had 75 tackles from his defensive back position to earn his first award as a junior... Threw for 1,300 yards, rushed for 276 yards, and posted 70 tackles on the defensive side of the ball to pick up honors as a senior... Earned a pair of varsity letters as a hurdler for the track and field team, and was an honorable mention small forward for the basketball team which won the De Anza League Championship in 2011... Scholar-Athlete Award winner for football... Named his school's scholar-athlete nominee for CIF Farmer's Scholar-Athlete Award... Named his school's athlete of the year.

PERSONAL: Born in San Jose, Calif... Majoring in economics... Parents are Dan and Carolyn Casas... His brother, Matt, played football at Vanderbilt while his dad played at Fresno State... His brother posts an inspirational quote on his Facebook page before every game he plays while his dad sends him a text... Hopes to become a pilot.
