Wade enters his fifth year as an assistant coach with the Aggies after assisting both the offensive and defensive staffs in 2006. He primarily works with wide receivers after coaching tight ends in 2009. Wade also serves as the program's recruiting coordinator.
Prior to UC Davis, Wade was an assistant coach from 2001-05 at Ygnacio Valley High School in Concord where he coached defensive backs, receivers, quarterbacks and, in 2005, was co-offensive coordinator.
Wade graduated from Saint Mary's College in 2003, earning his bachelor's degree in business administration. He added a Certified Teaching Credential in business and physical education and a master's degree in education, both from Chapman University.
Matt and his wife Natalie were married in June of 2008.
