2014:Played in seven games, picking up lone start at Montana before missing final four games... Had 24 total tackles, including 19 solo... Opened season strong, collecting six tackles (5 solo) at Stanford, adding four solo stops against Ft. Lewis and then picking up five more solo tackles at Colorado State... Intercepted Portland State QB Kieran McDonagh in the third quarter, returning the pick 16 yards and setting up QB London Lacy's 36-yard TD pass to WR Keelan Doss on the next play to cut deficit to 17-7... Both TFLs during season came in second week against Ft. Lewis.

2013:Saw action in all 12 games... Tallied 17 total tackles, including 15 solo... Also had two TFLs for three yards in losses... Had season-best three tackles against Cal Poly... Had five games with two solo tackles, including rival Causeway Classic game at Sacramento State in finale... Brought down Northern Arizona's star running back, Zach Bauman, for a two-yard loss on first play of second quarter... Tackled Bauman again for a one-yard loss later in the quarter.

2012: Redshirted.

TAFT HS '12: Named All-West Valley League First Team and All-City First Team as a senior... Added All-West Valley League honors in 2010... Filled up the stat sheet by posting 57 tackles, 36 solo stops, one fumble recovery, two blocked field goals and three interceptions in 2011... In 2010, recorded 33 tackles, 27 solo stops, two fumble recoveries, two blocked field goals, one blocked punt, two interceptions and one touchdown... Helped lead Taft to a 9-4 overall record in 2010, while finishing first in the West Valley League with a 5-0 mark... Taft advanced to the Los Angeles City Section quarterfinals in 2010 and competed in the section prelims in 2011... Has volunteered as a North Valley Golden Bears coach for the past four years.

PERSONAL: Born in Northridge, Calif.... Majoring in economics... Parents are Elijah and Patricia Wells... Chose UC Davis because it offered the best choice of education... Lists Patrick Petersonas his sports hero.
