2017: ALL-BIG SKY CONFERENCE THIRD TEAM OFFENSE... BIG SKY CONFERENCE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM... Named a starter in all 11 games... Led the team with nine touchdowns and finished second in scoring (54 points)... Finished fifth among all Big Sky players in scoring (touchdowns)... Ended the season with 36 receptions for 568 yards... Set a career high with his 44-yard catch at Portland State (9/16)... Scored three touchdowns on eight receptions for 97 yards vs. North Dakota (9/30)... That night, he set new career single-game highs in points scored (18), touchdowns (3), receptions (8) receiving yards (97), receiving touchdowns (3) and all-purpose yards (97)... His second multi-TD game took place against Cal Poly (10/28) when he finished with 96 receiving yards on five catches and two touchdowns... Also recorded a solo tackle at Weber State (9/23).

2016: BIG SKY CONFERENCE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM... Competed in all 11 games, and named a starter against Wyoming (9/17), Weber State (9/24), Eastern Washington (10/1) and Southern Utah (10/8)... Finished the season with eight receptions for 59 yards... Recorded a season-high 28 yards in the team's season opener at Oregon (9/3)... Caught a season-long 21-yard pass at Cal Poly (10/22)... Averaged 7.4 yards per catch.

Finished his three-year varsity career with 67 receptions for 1,007 yards and 16 TDs as a tight end... Senior year stats included 49 catches for 733 yards and 10 touchdowns... Opened that year with 145 yards on five catches against Del Campo HS, and followed that game with 109 yards on eight grabs against Whitney HS... Caught 5 TDs throughout that two-week timespan... Posted four games with at least two scores... Received first team honors from the Sacramento Bee (when the outlet announced its All-Metro teams), All-Sierra Foothill League and All-Sac-Joaquin Section... Selected to All-NorCal second team shortly after he received team Offensive Player of the Year honors... Earned all-league second team accolades as a junior after ended the season with 18 catches for 274 yards and six TDs... School bestowed its Most Passionate Player Award to Preece when he was a junior... Earned additional letters as a member of the school's basktball team.

PERSONAL: Born in San Jose, Calif... Parents are Todd and Kelly Preece... Played eight years of AAU basketball... Served as an assistant coach with Rocklin Jr. Thunder... Spent four years as a Little Thunder basketball coach.
