DAVIS, Calif. - Thanks to a redesigned off-season workout schedule, the latest byproduct of the program's commitment to uncommon engineering, UC Davis football is back on the field conducting its off-season workouts.
With practices taking place on Howard Field and at Aggie Stadium throughout the upcoming weeks, Aggie football fans can start counting down the days until their team opens the 2018 season on Aug. 30 at San José State.
Unlike other Division I schools, UC Davis is starting its off-season workout program earlier than normal to allow student-athletes the ability to study abroad, or participate in an internship during the spring quarter — opportunities that are rare for a football program at any level, let alone Division I.
Led by its 17-member senior class, student-athletes will participate in 15 practices and scrimmages throughout a four-week timespan, culminating on March 10 with the team's Spring Game. Visit UCDavisAggies.com throughout the upcoming weeks for information about this annual event held at Aggie Stadium.
With numerous players earning national honors, 46 new program records and the league's top offense (for the first time in program history), UC Davis enjoyed its most successful season in the Big Sky last season.
Another exciting season of UC Davis football will arrive before you know it, secure the best possible seats for all five 2018 home games by purchasing your season tickets today!
