DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis will head to Berkeley for the first time in nine years when the Aggies open the 2019 season against the Golden Bears. The football program will not need to wait as long to face Cal in future head-to-head games thanks to an agreement that was announced by both schools on Tuesday.
In 2022, UC Davis will visit Memorial Stadium on Sept. 3, and return two seasons later on Aug. 31, 2024.
The last meeting between the Aggies and Golden Bears took place in 2010, the first in 71 years.
Currently conducting their spring workouts, the Aggies will kick-off the 2018 season on Aug. 30 at San Jose State before hosting San Diego on Sept. 8 in the first of five home games taking place at Aggie Stadium. With numerous players earning national honors, 46 new program records and the league's top offense (for the first time in program history), UC Davis enjoyed its most successful season in the Big Sky in 2017 -- the first year of the Dan Hawkins era.
Secure the best possible seats, enjoy exclusive benefits throughout the season and support the football program by calling the Athletics Ticket Office at (530) 752-AGS1, or purchasing online at UCDavisAggies.com.
