DAVIS, Calif. - Before Saturday’s 12 p.m. Spring Game at Aggie Stadium, junior Aggie fans will have an opportunity to join UC Davis football as it runs through the tunnel, and interact with players throughout the inaugural portion of the team’s final spring practice. Once drills begin, leading up to that afternoon’s game, a Kids Zone is available for families to take advantage of.
Saturday’s workout is the culmination of a four-week block of practices designed to prepare this year’s team for the next step of its #AGScension. By hosting workouts earlier than a vast majority of schools, head coach Dan Hawkins created a unique opportunity for his student-athletes to study abroad, or hold internships during the spring quarter.
The Aggies will kick-off the 2018 season on Aug. 30 at San Jose State before hosting San Diego on Sept. 8 in the first of five home games taking place at Aggie Stadium. With numerous players earning national honors, 46 new program records and the league's top offense (for the first time in program history), UC Davis enjoyed its most successful season in the Big Sky in 2017 -- the first year of the Hawkins era.
Secure the best possible seats, enjoy exclusive benefits throughout the season and support the football program by calling the Athletics Ticket Office at (530) 752-AGS1, or purchasing online at UCDavisAggies.com.
