DAVIS, Calif. - Twenty-four student-athletes have either signed National Letters of Intent and/or accepted offers of athletics grant-in-aid to compete in football for UC Davis beginning this fall academic year, it was announced.
Brief biographies for each of the students-athletes are below.
JAMES AMOS (6-4, 215, DE, Galt, Calif./Galt HS '03)
Lettered four years in football, and twice in both basketball and track and field... Named second-team All-City by the Sacramento Bee... League's defensive MVP and team MVP in both 2001 and 2002... Three-year starter... 311 total tackles as a varsity player... Scholar-Athlete... Principal's honor roll... Born in Sacramento, Calif.
J.P. BELLOTTI (6-3, 230, TE, Los Gatos, Calif./St. Francis HS '03)
Two time All-West Coast Athletic League... Named by Cal-Hi Sports as one of top 20 tight ends in Western United States.... Team captain... Helped team win CIF-Central Coast Section title in 2002... Team leader in receptions... Also participated in basketball and track and field... Honor roll student... Won Physical Education Department Award as a sophomore... Born in Los Gatos.
CHRIS BUCK (5-11, 200, DB, Fair Oaks, Calif./Jesuit HS '03)
