Aug. 15, 2014

DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis football will cap its second week of fall practice with another event at Aggie Stadium that is open to the public. Saturday’s workout will start at 10:45 a.m. and end at approximately 12:50 p.m.; in addition to position drills, the team will compete in its second scrimmage of camp.

UC Davis is preparing for what's being regarded as the toughest schedule in its 96-year history. Ready to tackle a challenging slate of opponents that starts with their Aug. 30 season opener at Stanford, and includes additional road games at Colorado State (Sept. 13), Portland State (Oct. 4), Montana (Oct. 18), Northern Arizona (Nov. 8) and Cal Poly (Nov. 15), are 18 starters, 51 returning letterwinners and a highly touted recruiting class.

A home schedule that commences on Sept. 6, versus Fort Lewis, continues against Big Sky preseason favorite Eastern Washington (Sept. 27), homecoming opponent Montana State (Oct. 11) and Northern Colorado (Nov. 1) before concluding against Causeway Classic rival Sacramento State (Nov. 22).
