DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis faculty, staff, students and local community members now have three opportunities to assist local fire relief efforts, with all proceeds benefitting local Red Cross agencies.
The first of three gift card drives will take place throughout Friday’s women’s basketball home exhibition vs. the Academy of Art (5 p.m. tipoff). Additional drives are organized for men’s basketball’s Nov. 7 exhibition vs. Bethesda (7 p.m. start) and football’s Nov. 11 home finale against Southern Utah (4 p.m. kickoff).
With each donation of a $25 gift cards, UC Davis Athletics will provide a free women’s and men’s basketball home opener ticket to thank participants for their generosity, and supporting local relief efforts.
Women’s basketball will open its 2017-18 season inside the Pavilion on Nov. 10, against Washington State; the inaugural home game of the season for the men is slated for Nov. 29 vs. Northern Colorado.
