DAVIS, Calif. - This week's Coaches Show with Dan Hawkins will return to a familiar location when Tommy J's The Grill at Froggy's hosts Wednesday's 7 p.m. event. Joining Coach Hawkins this week is former UC Davis teammate, and 10-year NFL veteran Ken O'Brien.
In addition to talking about UC Davis football's 4 p.m. home finale vs. Southern Utah, the two will cover O'Brien's halftime ceremony -- he will become the inaugural member of the Aggie Pride Wall -- and the return of numerous 1982 Aggie football teammates who will attend Saturday's game to support their teammate.
This week's show will also feature junior wide receiver Keelan Doss and sophomore quarterback Jake Maier (who will head to Tommy J's once his class concludes) — teammates who are both on the Walter Payton Award watch list.
This honor is presented annualy to the top FCS offensive player.
As has been the case in previous weeks, a live stream of this week's Coaches Show is available on UC Davis Athletics' Facebook page. KSAC 105.5 FM will also provide a radio broadcast and audio stream on its webpage.
Fans planning to attend Saturday's home finale are encouraged to arrive to Aggie Stadium by 3:30 p.m. to help UC Davis football, one of eight athletics programs to post the highest Graduation Success Rate in their respective conferences, recognize its graduating seniors during a pregame ceremony.
