2005-06: ALL DIV. I INDEPENDENT SECOND TEAM for second straight year... Led Aggies with 74.0 stroke average, shooting par or better in 8 of his 24 rounds... Fired 3-under-par 67 to open Wyoming Cowboy Classic... Finished T5th in that tourney, one of four top-20 showings during spring season... Picked up D-I Independent All-Academic and Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar honors.
2004-05: ALL DIV. I INDEPENDENT SECOND TEAM... Was 3rd on team with 73.85 scoring average, finishing 27 rounds... Shot a 3-under, 69 in final round of Bite/Pacific Coast Intercollegiate to claim individual title and help Aggies win team title... Enjoyed season-best round and 54-hole total at Taylor Made/Waikoloa tournament... Shot 67 in final round to finish at 8-under-par 208... Fired opening rounds of 68 and 69 before pulling out of Ping Golf Cougar Classic.
2003-04: Finished 3rd on team with 73.38 scoring average, 5th all-time and best-ever by an Aggie freshman... Played 26 total rounds, including 6 under par... Recorded five top-20 finishes, including a top-10 placing... Best finish was T5th in Buzzini Invitational at Cal State Stanislaus (3-under, 213)... Shot 69 and 70 in final two rounds of that tourney... Opened season with T11th-place performance at Kansas Invitational... Matched season-best 69 in third round of Taylor Made/Waikoloa en route to T12th finish in predominantly Division I field.
LINFIELD CHRISTIAN HS '03: Led Big Sky League (2003) and Christian League (2002) in scoring average... Captured league titles each year... Earned league MVP honors as a senior.
PERSONAL: Born in Corona, Calif.... Managerial economics major... Parents are Michael & Pamela Bishop... Proudest personal accomplishments are qualifying for the 2003 U.S. Amateur and winning the 2002 AJGA Marshalia Ranch Junior Classic... Captured Southern California PGA Junior Tour's Howard Smith Award, given for the lowest scoring average (67.83) in 2002... Also finished second at 2003 AJGA Mission Hills event with rounds of 74-69-66... In 2004, he took 3rd in the medal play qualifier at the California State Amateur, including a final round of 69 at Pebble Beach... Placed T16th at 2005 Pacific Coast Amateur Championships, rising as high as 2nd place midway through tourney.
