The UC Davis men's golf team tied for ninth place at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, Oct. 15-16 in Fairfax, Calif.

2012-13: ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM... Finished second on the team in scoring, averaging 73.1 strokes while playing in all 10 regular-season tournaments and the Big West Championships... Finished in the top 20 five times, twice in the top 10 and had one top-five placing... Was T-8th at Windon Memorial Classic at Northwestern in second event of the season then was T-5th at Big West Championships to finish his year... Carded 9-under 207 at SCVB Pacific Invitational in October, finishing T-21st... Opened season at tough Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational with T-11th placing, posting 3-over 219... Tied for 17th at Winchester Classic for another top 20 finish... Carded 6-under 66 in final round at Pacific for best round of the season, one event after shooting 4-under 67 at Cal's Alister MacKenzie Invitational... Played as individual at 2012 Patriot All-America in December, tying for 16th at Litchfield Park, Ariz... He represented Staff Sgt. David Guiterrez who was killed in Afghanistan in 2009... The tournament featured top collegiate players.
2011-12: ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM... Posted team-best 72.0 stroke average... Opened season with 4-under 212 at The Prestige at PGA WEST, tying for 21st overall... Followed that with best peformance of the year after tying for ninth overall at the SCVB Pacific Invitational... Shot third-round 69 to lead the Aggies with a 1-over 214... Top Aggie finisher at Oregon Duck Invitational, tying for 24th overall... Opened U.S. Intercollegiate with a season-low 66 which matches Josh Granger's 66 at The Prestige at PGA WEST as the lowest round of the season for any Aggie... Carded a 4-over 214, highlighted by a third-round 69, at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic... Tied for 16th at Big West Conference Championships... Shots 70s in second and third rounds at NCAA Div. I Regional at Stanford to finish at four over... Advanced to quarterfinal round of 101st California State Amateur Championship before falling in 23 holes... Qualified for fourth straight U.S. Amateur, shooting a second-round 69 to finish at 3-over 144.
2010-11:BIG WEST FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR... ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM... NCAA SOUTHWEST REGION INDIVIDUAL MEDALIST... PING ALL-AMERICA HONORABLE MENTION... Finished second on the team with 72.0 stroke average... Highest regular-season finish was at PING Cougar Classic where he placed third out of 95 golfers, using two sub-70 rounds to finish at 9-under 204... Named Big West Golfer of the Month for September after a top-10 finish in his collegiate debut at the Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational... Finished 18th overall at Big West Championships, his fifth top-20 finish of the year, and was named the conference's Freshman of the Year, becoming the first Aggie men's golfer to receive the honor... Stormed through NCAA Regional, opening with a 7-under 64 in a round highlighted by eight birdies... Rallied to claim two-stroke victory at regional and a berth in the national finals... UC Davis men's golf program's first representative at the NCAA Div. I Championships in its short Div. I tenure... Shot a 73 in the first round before withdrawing due to illness... Closed debut season with PING All-America honorable mention honors.
MORRO BAY HS '10: Three-time letterwinner in golf and soccer while also earning letter in tennis... Three-time Los Padres League MVP while also capturing All-LPL first-team honors all four seasons... Finished second in the LPL in 2009... Team captain... Advanced to section championships.

Three-time qualifier for U.S. Amateur Championship, becoming first Aggie in program history to earn the distinction... Has also qualified for U.S. Junior Amateur and California State Amateur... Won the AJGA Stockton Sports Commissioner Qualifier and competed at Western Junior Amateur Championship...
