Tyler Raber begins his first season in 2013-14 as a volunteer assistant coach with the Aggies after starring in the program from 2008-13. Raber, who played in two NCAA Championships during his career, earned a pair of All-Big West first-team honors and was also an honorable mention selection as a sophomore.

He led the team in scoring last season with a 72.3 average, picking up a trio of top-five finishes including a fourth-place showing at the prestigious U.S. Intercollegiate at Stanford, a sixth-place at the Winchester Classic and a tie for seventh at the SCVB Pacific Invitational. Raber helped lead UC Davis into third place at the Big West Championships before earning a individual berth to the NCAA Pullman Regional.

He highlighted his sophomore sophomore season by winning the Stockton Sports Commission Pacific Invitational, tying the school record with a 63 in the second round. Raber opened that tournament with a 64 and set a program record with a 54-hole total of 199.

Raber, from nearby El Macero, has also participated in the U.S. Amateur Championship and won the Silicon Valley Amateur last January.
