DAVIS, Calif. - Senior Matt Hansen played an even more spectacular round than his effort on Friday, carding five birdies during a bogey-free round of 5-under 67 to lead the UC Davis men's golf team Saturday during the final round of the Amer Ari Invitational.
Hansen's round moved him further up the standings, finishing him a tie for 24th on the player leaderboard at 7 under. He set himself up for a strong finish after shooting 68 in the second round. The Aggies shot a final-round team score of 1-over 289 and finished 19th at 4-over 868.

Third-ranked Oklahoma State raced to a 12-stroke victory at 45 under, with No. 19 Washington (-33), Oregon (-29), TCU (-29) and No. 24 USC (-29) rounding out the top five. Oklahoma State's Jordan Niebrugge shot a final-round 65 to post a 16-under 200 total and win by a one shot over Jeffrey Kan of USC.
Starting on the 13th hole in the shotgun round, Hansen got off to a solid start with birdies on the par-3 15th and the par-5 18th. He added three more birdies over the next seven holes to move to 5 under. Hansen covered the front nine of the Waikoloa Kings' Course three shots below part while playing the back nine 2 under.
