MEADOW VISTA, Calif. - Matt Seramin tied for second while Mike Brockington jumped from 15th place to fourth place with a 68 as the UC Davis men's golf team finished in a three-way tie for second place at the Winchester Classic.
UC Davis, which co-hosted the tournament with Nevada, tied with Idaho and Sacramento State at 23 over while Fresno State took home the team title at 10 over.
Seramin ranked in the top five throughout the entire tournament, shooting a 73 in round 3 to finish at 1-over 217 for the tournament.
Brockington's season-low 68 was a seven stroke improvement on his first and second round scores and vaulted him from 15th to fourth place where he finished with a 2-over 218.
Jonny Baxter came in 21st, matching his first round score with his second 72 of the tournament. The freshman shot a 10-over 226 for the tournament.
UC Davis will prepare for the Big West Conference Championships which will be held at the La Quinta Resort Mountain Course Apr. 29-May 1.
