FAIRFAX, Calif. - Junior Josh Granger leads the UC Davis men's golf team and is tied for 15th overall after shooting five under on the first day of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational in Fairfax.
The Aggies are tied for 11th with New Mexico State after shooting a collective 3-under 565 after two rounds at the par-71, 6,728-yard Meadow Club.

He opened his back nine with a birdie, his fifth of the round, before shooting par on another four straight holes. He began his second round with a birdie on the par-5 15th hole to start off at 1-under, but an unfortunate double bogey on the par-4 17th hole moved him to 1-over. He regrouped by shooting par on four holes and made birdie on the par-4 third hole to get back to even. He closed out his second round with two birdies and seven par shots to finish at one under for the round.
Seramin's first round was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 13th hole, leading him to a 1-under 70. He shot par on five holes and made three birdies during his front nine to move to two under, but dropped to two over after four bogeys. The eagle shot got him back on track, though, as he got back to even then birdied his final hole to finish at one under.
In his second round, Seramin hit five birdie shots and made par on eight holes to finish at 1-over 72.
Making his UC Davis debut, Brockington shot a 72 in his first round thanks to six birdies, then shot even in a second round that featured five straight par shots in his front nine and four birdies on his back nine.
