2006: Started all 18 games, extending streak of career starts to 55... Finished 3rd on team with 3 goals... Added 2 assists for a total of 8 points... Took only 10 shots (five on goal) to tally a .300 shooting percentage... Scored the game-winning goal in OT against Cal State Fullerton, knocking in header in the 98th minute off a cross from Mariano Arrua (10/14)... Season's first assist was on throw-in to Ahmad Hatifie to end 1st half vs. UC Irvine (10/4).

2005: Started all 19 games, bringing his streak of career starts to 37... Took 4 shots, including 2 on goal... Had one assist for the year, sending a long serve to Dan Campbell in opener vs. Oregon State (9/1)... Arguably his most memorable play did not show up on stat sheet... In win vs. Stanford (9/4), saved ball from rolling out of bounds, then immediately flipped it to Juan Hernandez, who sent a long assist to Campbell for the game-winning goal.

2004: One of five Aggies (and only freshman) to start all 18 games... Recorded 4 shot attempts for the season.

REDLANDS HS '04: Captured All-Citrus Belt League accolades for three straight years, including first-team honors as a junior and senior... Scored 18 goals in his last two seasons... Posted 12 assists as a senior... Also lettered in track & field and badminton.... Played for Pateadores Soccer Club in Mission Viejo from 2002-04... Team finished as Cal South State Cup semifinalist in 2004... Won Nomads College Showcase and finished as Coast Soccer League runner-up in 2003... Member of Cal South ODP team.

PERSONAL: Born in Redlands, Calif.... Majoring in English... Parents are Chris Cain and Mary Mailander... Plans on becoming a writer... Career highlight was leading Pateadoers to Nomads title in 2003... Best facility he's played is Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., home of L.A. Galaxy.
