Strong finish helps Aggies to a 9-9-3 overall record and trip to the Big West Conference Tournament semifinals

One of the most successful goalkeeper careers in program history, Nic Platter enters his first year as an assistant on the UC Davis men's soccer staff.

As a redshirt freshman in 2000, Platter enjoyed a rousing start to his four-year career when he posted shutouts in two of his first three starts. He enjoyed his best overall season in 2002, when he finished second among California Collegiate Athletic Association keepers with a 0.85 goals-against average. Platter recorded a career-high six shutouts that season, and enjoyed a stretch of 195:29 scoreless minutes that helped earn him CCAA Player of the Week honors.

Last year, Platter finished sixth in the conference in GAA at 1.26. He completed his Aggie career with school records in shutouts (17) and saves (195). Additionally, his 1.01 GAA ranks third all-time.

Platter graduated from UC Davis last spring with a degree in human development. He recently completed his first season with the Sacramento Knights of the Men's Premier Soccer League.
