2015: ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM... One of eight Aggies to appear in all 21 matches and one of only two (Lucas Mohageg) to start all every match... Finished fourth on the team in scoring with eight points on three goals and a pair of assists... His 25 shots were also fourth on the team... His first goal of the season was the eventual game-winner against Wisconsin on Sept. 6... Also added the game-winning goal at Saint Mary's on Sept. 24 in the 84th minute, just four days after scoring his second goal of the season overall as part of a 6-0 win over Pacific on Sept. 20... Finished with a goal and a team-high three assists to tie for fifth on the team in scoring while taking 29 shots... His only goal of the season was a game-winner as his strike helped UC Davis defeat Canisius (Aug. 31)... Posted a pair of assists in a 3-1 win over Cal State Fullerton (Oct. 2) and also assisted on teammate Lucas Mohageg's game-winner against UC Santa Barbara (Oct. 18)... His 29 shots ranked second on the team, finishing with at least one shot in all but four matches... Took a season-high five attempts at Cal Poly (Oct. 22) and finished with three shots four times... Ranked second on the team with 1,952 minutes played... NSCAA Scholar All-West Region honoree as well as a Big West All-Academic Team selection.
2013: Started all 21 matches for the second straight season... Finished tied for third on the team in scoring with seven points and fourth on the team in goals with two... Netted his first goal of the season from the penalty spot at Saint Mary's on Sept. 12 to beat the Gaels by the score of 1-0... Added a second penalty kick goal at nationally ranked New Mexico on Sept. 27 to help UC Davis to a 2-1 upset of the Lobos... also assisted on goals against UC Irvine (Oct. 4), UC Riverside (Oct. 13), and Cal Poly (Nov. 6)... Took 30 shots on the season to finish third on the team, including a season-high four strikes at Oregon State on Sept. 1 in Corvallis... One of four Aggies to finish in double digits in shots on goal (10)... Finished with double-digit shots 11 times... His 1,738 minutes were second to only Alex Henry among UC Davis players... Big West Conference All-Academic Team selection.
2012:Started all 21 games for the Aggies in his rookie campaign... Scored two goals and tallied three assists for seven total points, the fourth most on the roster... Took 11 shots and placed five on goal... Scored both of his goals in a 2-1 win against No. 23 ranked Tulsa on Sept. 14 at the SMU Tournament... Posted his first career goal in the 18th minute off a corner kick and scored again in the 59th minute, unassisted, on a free kick from 20 yards out... Assisted on goals against Denver on Sept. 2, UCF on Sept. 9 and UC Irvine on Sept. 30... Played 1,938 minutes, the second most on the team... Played 90+ minutes in 18 games, including 11 straight to end the season.
DAVIS HS '12: Led the Blue Devils to their first CIF Sac-Joaquin Section championship since 2007 after defeating Jesuit HS in penalty kicks and was named Offensive Player of the Year... Earned the Delta Valley Conference's Most Valuable Player award after leading Davis HS to a 9-1 league record and a No. 24 national ranking from ESPN Rise... One of just 37 players in the nation selected to compete in the first-ever High School All-American Soccer Game in Birmingham, Ala., during the weekend of the 2011 NCAA Div. I College Cup... Selected to Sacramento All-City team and was selected as his team's MVP as well as the Davis High School Athlete of the Year... Served as team captain for Davis Legacy.
PERSONAL: Parents are Douglas and Dana Gross... Mother Dana is a 1983 graduate of UC Davis... One of five children, including older sisters Caitlin and Stephanie - who are recent UC Davis graduates - and younger brothers Ethan and Michael.
