MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -
Junior Ryan Shaw's header in the second half proved to be the equalizer while both defenses held firm the rest of the way as UC Davis opened its 2003 men's soccer season with a 1-1 double-overtime tie against Nova Southeastern University in first-round play at the Nike Invitational Friday night on the campus of Barry University.
