CHICO, Calif. -- - Jesse Swonetz's goal early in the first half put UC Davis on top and his goal early in the second half put Chico State away as the UC Davis Aggies defeated the Wildcats, 4-0, in the Aggies' season finale.

UC Davis finished its season with a 13-5-1 overall record and a 9-5-0 mark in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The Wildcats are 5-13-0 and 5-9-0.

Swonetz scored unassisted 11:23 into the match after an unsuccessful clear by Chico State and then added his second goal in the 57th minute on an assist by Vinney Matteoli. The Aggies were never threatened after that.

Ryan Shaw and Jeremy Warner added unassisted goals in the 68th and 78th minutes, respectively, for UC Davis. Nick Platter made two saves in nearl 79 minutes of action, while Jake Martini finished the game in goal. UC Davis allowed just two shots on goal and seven overall.

Chico State, which hosts Humboldt State Monday night at 7:30 to close out its season.
