Aggies host USL's Reno 1868 FC to open spring slate

DAVIS, Calif. -- The UC Davis men's soccer team opens its spring schedule on Saturday afternoon (March 18) by hosting USL expansion side Reno 1868 FC in a friendly at the Aggie Soccer Field at 2 p.m.

It's the first of eight home dates for UC Davis this spring, as the Aggies will kick-off against the first-year USL side in a match that was originally scheduled to be played on the road. The match is open to the public and admission is free.

UC Davis breaks until April, when the Aggies host five matches beginning on April 8 with a doubleheader featuring Sacramento State and Chico State beginning at 11 a.m. The next week, UC Davis welcomes Sonoma State and Notre Dame de Namur to the Aggie Soccer Field on April 15 for contests at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., before closing the month on April 22 with its annual Alumni Game at Noon.

On May 6, UC Davis hosts its annual Alumni Day event beginning at 12:30 p.m., followed by a match against Santa Clara at 3 p.m. More information on the event is available online at

The Aggies then close their spring schedule against two-time defending NCAA champion Stanford on May 13 at 4 p.m.
