DAVIS, Calif. -- Registration is now open for a trio of camps this summer hosted by the UC Davis men's soccer program, welcoming participants for a Summer Boys Youth Academy in early June as well as a pair of college ID clinics to be held on campus.
Working alongside UC Davis coaches and student-athletes, the Boys Youth Academy -- designed for those ages 5-13 -- will focus on individual player development, both technically and tactically, at a level appropriate to the camper's age, and running from June 12-15 from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Aggie Soccer Field.
Cost for the four-day summer camp is $155 per child.
The two college ID clinics are open to boys ages 14-and-up, providing an excellent opportunity to showcase skills in a competitive environment, with both small sided and full-field games in front of the UC Davis coaching staff. The training schedule is designed to prepare players for competition at the college level and will include full-field 11-v-11 matches during each session.
Held at the Aggie Soccer Field and nearby Howard Field, the first clinic will be held on June 24-25, with a second opportunity available later in the summer on Aug. 5-6. The cost for a single day during either of those sessions is $145, or $199 for the two-day event.
