DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis goalkeeper Nic Platter has been named the Brine California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of September 15-21.

Platter, a senior from Los Angeles, posted three shutouts and scored a goal on a penalty kick to lead the Aggies to a 2-0-1 week. He made four saves in 110 minutes to preserve a double-overtime scoreless tie with Chico State last Tuesday. On Friday, Platter earned the 14th shutout of his career in UC Davis' 3-0 triumph over Cal State Stanislaus. It moved him past former Aggies Barry Wong (1990-91) and Jason Kong (1998-2001) and into the No.1 spot on the all-time shutouts list.

Platter then finished the week with another shutout, and scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick to lead the Aggies past No.10 Cal State Bakersfield, 2-0. The goal was the first of Platter's career.

For the week, Platter allowed no goals and made seven saves in 290 minutes. He has not allowed a goal in his last 378 minutes of play.
