Finished 2nd (school-record 4:28.34) in 500 free, 3rd (1:52.24) in 200 back... Each backstroke performance at PCSC ranks 5th in school record books... 2000-01: ALL-AMERICAN in all three distance free races, plus as anchor for 7th-place 800 free relay... Placed 4th in 1,650 with time of 15:47.75, 2nd all-time at UC Davis behind Brad Winsor... Captured 3rd in 1,000 (9:20.13), 8th in 500 free (4:34.15p) and 11th in 200 free (1:41.33)... Mark in 1,000 is a school record by more than 20 seconds... Also placed 4th in 1,650, 8th in 500, 10th in 200 free at PCSC Championships... One of only two Aggies (along with Joe Heublein) to post three top-10 finishes at PCSC meet last year.
1999-2000: Double ALL-AMERICAN, placing 3rd in 1,650 free (15:49.49) and 5th in 500 free (4:33.07)... Also scored at nationals in 200 free (11th) and 200 back (16th)... Reached PCSC finals in 500 free (4th), 100 back (7th)... Had 52.55 in prelims in 100 back, 7th-best in Aggie history... Won PCSC consy final in 200 back at 1:53.24, 6th all-time at UC Davis.
OAK RIDGE HS ?99: Captured 3rd place at Sac-Joaquin Section meet in 200 and 500 free... Set school records in each event... Earned team MVP... Won multiple All-Sierra Valley Conference honors... Named to Sacramento Bee All-Area team... Earned numerous scholarships and awards for math, science and engineering, including honors from Intel, Bank of America and U.S. Marines.
