2009-10: SINGLES SECOND-TEAM ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE... DOUBLES SECOND-TEAM ALL-BIG WEST... Received All-Big West honors for the second consecutive season... Played 15 matches as the No. 1 singles player, tallying five wins on the season... Recorded an 11-13 record in doubles competition with a 3-3 mark during the fall... Was 7-10 at the No. 1 double position in dual matches to go along with one win at No. 3 doubles... Was paired with Hunter Lee to earn the conference plaudit.

2008-09: SINGLES SECOND-TEAM ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE...DOUBLES HONORABLE MENTION ALL-BIG WEST...Went 8-12 in singles and 5-16 in doubles...named Big West Co-Athlete of the Week on Feb. 4...Was the primary No. 1 player for the Aggies where he competed 13 times with four wins...Posted a 3-2 mark at No. 2...Went 1-1 in the fall...Teamed with Hunter Lee in doubles to capture Big West postseason honor.

2007-08: Went 15-12 in singles and 3-4 in doubles...Second on the team in overall singles wins...Posted 5-2 record in the fall, including a run to the Flight C Singles final at the Chandler Cup in Berkeley, Calif...Played nine matches at both No. 3 and No. 4, going 4-5 at each position...Also went 2-0 at No. 5...Four of his seven doubles matches came in the fall.

MIRAMONTE HS '07: Played No. 1 singles all four years, earning team MVP and Most Outstanding Player honors in each... Selected to Contra Costa Times Tennis Hall of Fame... Captured Diablo Foothill Athletic League individual title in 2004, led Matadors to DFAL team title in 2003... Went 8-2 at Boys' 16s Clay Court Supernationals in 2006.

PERSONAL: Born in San Francisco, Calif.... Majoring in English... Parents are James & Tae Kyung Kouzes... Won a Best Screenplay award at a local film festival as a high school senior... Sports hero is Pete Sampras...Career highlight is going 8-2 at the 2006 Boys 16's Clay Court Supernationals and defeating the 20th-ranked player in the nation.
